Mt. Kazashi
Located in Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City, Mt. Kazashi can be reached on foot from JR Mojiko Station.
As you climb up the mountain, enjoying the seasonal features of the forest, the cityscapes of Mojiko and Shimonoseki appear through the trees. The view from the highest point in Mojiko is spectacular enough to impress anyone.

This park serves as the trailhead for climbing Mt. Kazashi. It was the first city park to open in Kitakyushu City in 1916 and blooms can be enjoyed in every season.

Kazashiyama Observatory

Just before reaching the summit of Mt. Kazashi, the path forks, presenting the opportunity for a short climb to Kazagashira observatory. From the rock, views of the Kanmon Straits and the cities of Moji and Shimonoseki unfold. Ships gently navigate the waters below. This is a view that will make you forget the time.
