[Forest Therapy Base Yame] Kumazasa Bamboos and Lake Trails

【森林セラピー基地八女】熊笹と湖の小道

This road circles Zenzo Pond from the Therapy Plaza.
Conifers and thickets alternate around the pond, creating a gradation of green and red leaves in autumn. The cypress and cedar forests along the road are covered with kumazasa bamboo and look as if a carpet of bamboo grass has been spread over the ground. The road is not very high and low, and the view changes from left to right along the topography of the lake, offering a view of the mountains in the distance. From the embankment along the way, you can see the greenery of Zenzo Pond and the surrounding landscape, including Shakadake, the highest peak in the prefecture, in the distance.
