THE OUTLETS KITAKYUSHU

This, one of the largest shopping malls in Kyushu, lets you treasure hunt for exciting finds among the variety of shops covering foreign luxury brands, popular sporting goods, and domestic select shops. There are also an abundant variety of restaurants where you can try cuisine unique to Fukuoka and Kitakyushu. There are also amusement facilities on site, including play areas and games, and one of the largest planetariums in Japan. The mall is becoming well known as a place where you can spend the whole day with your children.

There are also numerous tourist destinations within a 15 minute cab ride of The Outlets Kitakyushu. While the World Heritage Yahata Steel Works, that contributed to the industrialization of Japan, is located within a factory that still operates today, there is an observation space from which you can see the exterior. Be sure to also visit the Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History with its impressive dinosaur displays, and the Wakato Bridge famous for its sunset and nighttime views.
