Festival at Cho-on Falls Park
調音の滝公園「滝開き」
Cho-on Falls Park is located on Mt. Takatori, one of the mountains comprising the Mino Mountain Range. Starting with the 27-meter (88.6-foot) high Cho-on Falls, visitors can see three highly unique waterfalls in the park, which was selected as one of the Top 100 Water Source Forests in Japan.
The falls open for the summer season on the second Sunday in June, attracting a crowd of bustling visitors. During the two to three-month-long season, visitors can enjoy “somen nagashi” (streaming noodles) as well as other local specialties sold at vending stands in the park. The natural whirlpool is also open to the public during the summer, so why not stop by and cool off with the whole family?
