平尾台

The representative ’karst plateau’ of Japan, grassy fields are dotted with pure white limestones that will make you think you’re looking at a field of sheep,
designated as a natural monument. It can be enjoyed all through the year: Noyaki (burning the dead grass in a field) in spring, fresh foliage after Noyaki in early summer, and pampas grass fields in fall. The entire area is designated as part of Kitakyushu National Park. Good for hiking.
