Blue Wing Moji

ブルーウィングもじ

A must-visit for couples, Mojiko Port's 'Lover's Bridge'.

Blue Wing Moji, Japan's only pedestrian-only blue drawbridge, is 108 m long and spans the Daiichi Fudamari, the heart of Mojiko Retro Harbour. It bounces slowly to the accompaniment of music a total of six times a day, twice in the morning and four times in the afternoon as the ships sail by. When closed, the bridge is open to human traffic, and when it opens and closes, it is crowded with locals and many spectators, especially couples. The view from the bridge is exceptional, and visitors can enjoy the magnificent scenery and openness of Kanmon Bridge and the Kanmon Straits while feeling the fresh sea breeze.
It is said that the first couple to cross the drawbridge after it closes will be united for life, making it a 'holy place for lovers'. This is a spot that cannot be missed on a date course.
At night, we recommend a leisurely walk across the bridge while admiring the retro buildings lit up fantastically by lights. The beautiful Mojiko Port scenery, which changes over time, is also popular as a photo spot.
