Seiryu-kutsu Cave

青龍窟

A limestone cave located in Kitakyushu Quasi-National Park (Hiraodai.) This labyrinthine cave is about 2km; the cave entrance hole was treated as the back shrine of Tokakuji during the era of Shugendo-- in modern times many stone Buddha images have been left behind. In 1962 it was designated as a National Natural Monument.
