Roadside station 'Harazuru' Farm Station Basallo
道の駅「原鶴」ファームステーションバサロ
Roadside station near the entrance to Harazuru Onsen, famous for its freshly picked vegetables and fuyu persimmons.
Harazuru Roadside Station, the first roadside station in Fukuoka Prefecture, is located at the entrance to Harazuru Onsen, one of the prefecture's leading hot spring resorts. Located along National Route 386, it is easily accessible from all parts of Kyushu.
A wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruit and other agricultural products picked that morning are very popular at Farm Station Basalo, a product centre. Handmade processed products made locally are also on sale. Recommended products include Furyu persimmons, known as the king of persimmons. Specialty products such as persimmon chips and persimmon dressing make great souvenirs.
How about taking a break from driving and shopping to try the take-out menu, including the famous 'Kyoho Soft' and 'Yakiimo' (roasted sweet potato)? The station is also equipped with an information centre and provides a rest area for tourists.
From February to March, approximately 800,000 rape blossoms bloom in a 1.6 ha field in front of the station. Visit to enjoy the beautiful scenery, which looks as if it is covered with a yellow carpet.
*The flowering period is subject to change depending on the weather and other factors. Please check before visiting.
