Sarayama Park
皿山公園
Sarayama is the place where Kato Tamikichi, the originator of Seto style ceramics, hid after being accused of spying and pursued ceramic art. The Sarayama area has since been developed as a park. In addition to the irises, azaleas and cherry blossoms blooming in the park, 2,000 hydrangeas add to its color under the cloud of the rainy season between June and July. The park also offers the second longest roller slide in Kyushu, an athletic gym and countless other features that attract many families on holidays!
