The Maple Leaves of Tennoin Temple

The principal image is Namikiri Fudo Myo-o, which is said to have saved Daishi (Kobo Daishi Kukai) from a maritime accident while returning from the Tang Dynasty.It is said to be a Buddha of good luck and warding off misfortune, calming the rough waves of life and opening up good fortune, as well as praying for safety at sea and a big catch. The main hall is also known as the largest main hall in Sasaguri, and in autumn you can enjoy the autumn leaves of maples, wild cherry blossoms, and dodan azaleas.
