Fukuoka Prefecture has a geography where nature and the outdoors sit within easy reach of urban areas, whether it is the coast, forests, World Heritage sites, retro streetscapes or bucolic farmlands. Cycling itineraries are many and varied. One route is the 34km Onga-Munakata Bicycle Trail built along the seaside, where you can ride easy in the knowledge that it is bicycles-only. The beauty of sunset looking out across the water is unforgettable.
