In spring a single tree of the double weeping rosebud cherry called ”Torao-zakura” and the 200-year old tree ”Genpei-zakura” bloom here. In fall towards the mountaintop there are wild fields of pampas grass. Next to the trailhead you can see Shiraito Falls. From the Aganokoshi Fork you can make a round trip and in about 30 minutes reach the former mountain castle ruins on Mt Takatori, which offers an excellent view.
