Hiyoshi Shrine

日吉神社（小郡）

There is a ginkgo tree, a sacred tree that worshiped a mountain god in Hiyoshi Shrine. This tree is called ”Couple Ginkgo”, because it splits into two branches from half way up the trunk. Tradition says that if you eat ginkgo nuts of this tree, you will blessed with good children and a lot of breast milk.
