Kayoicho Park
駕与丁公園
A landmark of Kasuya Town, full of nature in all four seasons
The vast Kayoicho Park is surrounded by water and greenery and is centered around Kayoicho Pond, one of the three largest ponds in Chikuzen. The park is filled with nature from season to season and is well known as a symbol of Kasuya Town.
Known as a famous flower viewing spot, the park is crowded with visitors in spring when the entire promenade is tinged with the pale pink of approximately 700 cherry trees in full bloom.
In the "Kayocho Park Rose Garden" within the park, approximately 2,400 roses of 180 varieties bloom in a variety of colors. The 3-meter-high, 20-meter-long rose tunnel is filled with the sweet and gentle fragrance of roses, making visitors want to go back and forth repeatedly. The rose corridor in the center of the park, which is decorated with the motif of the town emblem, boasts more than 2,000 roses in full bloom, and its spectacular beauty is a must-see. A "Rose Festival" is held every May.
The park also has playground equipment, a plaza, an observatory, and grounds that can be enjoyed by both children and adults.
