JR Hakata City (Amu Plaza) is directly connected to JR Hakata Station. It is a commercial complex with a restaurant zone kuuten, hands, movie theater, rooftop garden, and cultural facilities.
For a family visit, we recommend the rooftop garden "Tsubame no Mori Hiroba," which is themed around the four seasons. While enjoying the various flowers and plants that bloom in each season, take a ride on the "Tsubame Densha" and "Kuro Densha" trains that run in the sky. At the train observation space, you can also watch trains coming into Hakata Station.
