The name, Amaou, is an acronym for red, round, large, and delicious in Japanese. The product stands for its claim - they are far superior than your average strawberries when it comes to color, size, sweetness, juiciness, and all the other aspects.
This proud product of Fukuoka is highly sought-after both in the domestic market and the international market. Limited edition sweets and cakes created with these Hakata Amaou strawberries are only available right here in Fukuoka from winter to spring.
