Nestled in the sacred forest of Hisayama’s local shrine, the Fukuoka Hisayama Sumo Hall was born as a place to encourage both sports and cultural education. Cultivating a proper respect for decorum as well as developing physical strength in the local youth, the hall encourages social education as well as stimulating local cultural exchange.
