Michi no Eki Kawara

道の駅香春

Michi no Eki Kawara was opened as a new rest area along National Highway 201 in the town of Kawara on October 25, 2009. This building is the 101st rest area to be constructed in Kyushu. Inside the building is an area called ”Wagie no Sato” where visitors can buy locally grown fresh products such as vegetables and fruits. Many hand-made products can also be found here! ”Smiles abound here!” is the catch-phrase of Michi no Eki Kawara.
Guests can also purchase handicrafts and finished goods special to Kawara-machi! In addition to the above mentioned amenities, there is an information corner, a convencience store and a place to have a light snack which makes this a handy area for drivers wishing to take a break!
