Enmeikan Ryokan is part the Harazuru Hot Spring. It is said that the Harazuru Hot Spring was discovered in the past when a fisherman witnessed a crane with a wounded wing heal itself in the shallows of the river. The fisherman was amazed by this. When he returned to the river to see for himself, the hot spring gushed up from the river. Since then, the locals have known about the healing powers of the water.
There are three types of guest rooms at Enmeikan. All rooms have an unbroken view of the magnificent Chikugo River. In the evening, the setting sun reflecting off the river’s surface is beautiful. Near the Inn are popular walking trails where guests can enjoy the autumn colors in fall and cherry blossoms in spring. For people who want to take it easy, Enmeikan recommends the 6,300yen day trip plan. After bathing, guests sit down and enjoy a set meal. A Harazuru Hot Spring passbook allows guests to visit neighboring inns and to use their spas as well (one passbook is 1,500 yen and has 7 tickets). Enmeikan Ryokan has space for 100 guests and can serve food for 200.
