Michi no Eki Kurume Roadside Station
道の駅くるめ
Michi no Eki Kurume Roadside Station is located in a beautiful place, the base of the Mino Mountain Range, and features facilities like restaurants, vending stands, and a resting room with an information booth. Various fresh and safe local products such as vegetables, fruit, and rice are sold there in any season. The tomatoes sold from April to July are plump and rich in taste, and has gained many fans. Besides, Akaneko Hananatto (180 grams [about 6.3 ounces]; 390 Yen) is also another popular product. Why not give it a try? The taste is said to be ”unique”. For people not fans of natto (fermetted beans), they like the taste of Akaneko Hananatto!
”We have always aimed to be a Roadside Station where visitors will want to come again.”, says the operator. The local seasonal information is posted on a bulletin board, and if you ask, the staff will happily help you, so feel free to talk to them!
