Shiraito Falls Fureai-no-sato

白糸の滝　ふれあいの里

Experience fishing and Somen-nagashi (Noodle float) at a healing spot overflowing with negative ions!

Located in the south of Itoshima City, 900 meters above sea level, is the 24-meter-high Shiraito Falls, halfway up Haganeyama Mountain. The waterfall is delicate and breathtaking, falling down the rock surface like a silken thread with a pure white spray. It is a healing spot overflowing with negative ions and nature.

The "Fureai-no-sato" area around the waterfall has a teahouse for all seasons, a water wheel, and an observatory. At the Shiki no Teahouse, visitors can enjoy set menus that use the famous "yamame trout” or try their hand at making soba (buckwheat noodles). From around Golden Week, visitors can try their hand at "yamame fishing" and the famous "somen-nagashi" (flowing noodles), which are popular as a fun way to spend time with family and like-minded friends.

The view from the nature trail (promenade) leading from the bus stop to Fureai-no-sato is beautiful in any season of the year, making it a great photo spot.

Price Nagashi Somen 500 yen per person *Register on the day
Yamame trout fishing 2,500 yen per rod (fishing rod rental and bait included) *Register on the day of the event.
　You can catch up to 4 landlocked salmon, and even if you don't catch any, you will receive up to 3 as a free gift. If you don't catch any, up to 3 will be given away. Caught yamame trout will be exchanged for 100 yen per fish in exchange for grilled yamame roasted with salt.
Soba making experience 2,000 yen / 2 persons *Reservations required.

From Chikuzen Maebaru Station (South Exit) on the JR Chikuhi Line, take the Itoshima City Community Bus (Shiraito Line), get off at Shiraito Bus Stop, and walk along the promenade for about 25 minutes.
