Oma Bamboo Shoots, renowned as the finest in Kansai's top restaurants, are very popular!

Located near Oma Bamboo Grove Park, this farm produce stand is open only on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Oma Bamboo Shoots" are so famous that they are highly recommended by first-class restaurants in Kyoto and Osaka, the home of bamboo shoot cuisine.
Because it is more reasonably priced than at the market, it attracts many visitors from far and wide in late March, the best time of year to eat it. Especially at lunchtime, the market can be very crowded with freshly harvested bamboo shoots!

It is noteworthy that the market is expanding its variety of bamboo shoots and products so that visitors can enjoy bamboo shoots not only in spring but also throughout the year, including "Midoritake" in summer, "Shiho-chiku" in fall, and "Dried Bamboo Shoots" that can be preserved well.
In addition to rice grown in clean water, there is a lineup of products made with plums from the nearby Mitsutake Plum Grove, bamboo charcoal, and other Oma products that are perfect as souvenirs!

There are many spots nearby where you can enjoy nature to the fullest, so be sure to stop by during your drive.
