There are about four to five airport shuttle buses per hour, providing services between Kagoshima Airport and Kagoshima Chuo Station.

This is the largest shopping mall in the southern Kyushu area, and it is directly connected to Kagoshima Chuo Station. Enjoy shopping until it is time to take the train. From the ferris wheel on the roof, you can take in a panoramic view of Kagoshima City and Sakurajima.

This is a limited express sightseeing train that runs between Kagoshima Chuo Station and Ibusuki Station, offering must-see views of the beautiful scenery of Kinko Bay (Kagoshima Bay) and Sakurajima. For lunch, buy a bento (lunch box) and eat it on the train! The Ibusuki no Tamatebako Bento is also a popular choice. This is a bento packed with delicious Kagoshima specialties, and is reserved in advance and collected on the train.

The tourist information center in Ibusuki Station provides a service that delivers your luggage to your accommodations in advance, as well as a temporary luggage storage service, so you do not have to worry even if you have heavy bags with you.

Sunamushi onsen is a Japanese-style sauna that involves getting a good sweat by covering the body in sand which has been warmed by a natural hot spring that gushes out on the beach. After emerging from the sand, visit the large communal bath for a soak in the onsen to enhance the detoxification effect!

There are also inns where you can soak in onsen with sodium chloride spring water, which has a beautifying effect on the skin and makes it smooth and silky, as well as inns with sunamushi onsen.

Nagasakibana is also a spawning ground for sea turtles. According to the Ryugu legend, the cape of Nagasakibana is where Urashima Taro set off for the undersea palace of Ryujin (the Dragon God) on the back of a sea turtle. There is also a Ryugu Shrine dedicated to Princess Otohime who appears in the legend. It is a popular spiritual spot dedicated to success in affairs of the heart and finding a soulmate.

This cape juts out at the southernmost tip of Satsuma Peninsula, and Satsuma Nagasakibana Lighthouse, painted in stark white, stands at the end of the pathway. From the cape, you can look out onto Mt. Kaimon, also known Satsuma Fuji. On a clear day, it is possible to see as far as Yakushima, as well as Iwojima of Mishima village.

Ontamaran-don are original donburi (rice bowls with toppings) created by each restaurant, using the local ingredients and ontama (short for onsen tamago), which are soft-boiled eggs cooked in the source waters of the sunamushi onsen. Enjoy this local specialty that is unique to Ibusuki!

Board the JR Limited Express, IBUSUKI NO TAMATEBAKO, once again to Kagoshima Chuo Station! The exterior and interior designs, as well as the mist that simulates smoke that billows out when the doors open and close, are all unique touches inspired by the Ryugu legend.

Until it is time for the Kyushu Shinkansen to depart, enjoy shopping and dining at Gourmet-Yokocho and Miyage-Yokocho near the ticket gates, or at Amu Plaza Kagoshima, which is directly connected to the station!

Shikanoshima, where the national treasure, the "King of Na Gold Seal" was discovered, is a resort area of Fukuoka City that has retained its beautiful coastline and lush, green nature. It is also known as a spot for swimming, fishing, and other marine leisure activities.

Upon arriving on Shikanoshima, rent a bicycle from Shikashima Cycle and go for a ride around the island! The circumference of the island is about 12 km, so you can circle it in about an hour. The rental shop offers primarily sports bikes, including hybrid bikes and mountain bikes.

Enjoy your meal inside the restaurant or on the terrace, while looking out over the beautiful sea. The Shikanoshima Dog, the restaurant's signature dish, is a freshly grilled hot dog served with a special Sauce Aurore (a French tomato-based sauce), and you can choose your own toppings, including cheese or kimchi.

There is also a cafe and a shop on-site, so take a break after returning your rental bicycle. From the nearby Shikanoshima bus stop, head for the Umi-no-Nakamichi area.

The park is full of facilities that will delight families with children, such as Dobutsu no Mori (Animal Forest), where around 50 different species of animals live, and Wonder World, which is packed with fun playground equipment. The Sunshine Pool is also opened in summer.

With its impressive dolphin and sea lion shows, tanks that recreate the seas around Kyushu, and areas where visitors can observe seals and penguins up close, this aquarium is sure to captivate children and adults alike.

In the area around Umi-no-Nakamichi, there are resort hotels complete with spas, swimming pools, and restaurants, as well as camping sites where you can stay overnight and have a BBQ without having to bring anything with you.

This building, designed in French Renaissance style, is located in Tenjin Central Park and designated an important cultural property of Japan. It was once used as a guest house to host important guests from Japan and abroad, but is now open to the public. The installation showing the letters “FUKUOKA” is a popular photo spot.

This is an urban oasis with an impressive vast grassy area and a stepped garden full of lush greenery. There are also dining facilities on the premises, so why not enjoy a relaxing lunch time while taking a stroll?

The stepped garden on the south side of ACROS Fukuoka, a complex facility adjacent to Tenjin Central Park, has plantings on the slope that make it look just like a natural mountain. It has been selected by CNN.com as one of "10 of the world's best high-rise and rooftop green spaces." The observation space on the rooftop is also open on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays (10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.).

Board the open-top double-decker bus and set off on a drive that takes you to classic sightseeing spots such as the MIZUHO PayPay Dome FUKUOKA and Fukuoka Tower. The views from a height of about 3.2 meters is exhilarating, and it is an efficient way to take in the sights of the city.

This underground shopping street, which stretches for 590 m, is located in the Tenjin area. It is home to around 150 stores, including fashion boutiques, general merchandise stores, and gourmet restaurants. You can enjoy shopping and dining while strolling comfortably even on rainy days. It is also connected directly to Tenjin Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line, making it convenient for heading straight to Fukuoka Airport.
