Located in Tanushimaru-machi, Kurume City, the home of kappa legends and fruits, Katanose Hot Spring is a small hot spring resort that springs on the banks of the Chikugo River, the largest river in Kyushu. The spring is a hypotonic, slightly alkaline, sodium-hydrogencarbonate chloride spring that is effective for skin diseases, beautiful skin, and back pain. There is a “cyclist-only accommodation plan” that includes various benefits for bicycle users.

Visitors can enjoy the rustic and seasonal atmosphere of the area, such as rape blossoms in spring, sweetfish fishing in summer, and fruit picking in autumn. Another enjoyment is a full course meal of river fish after relaxing in the hot springs.
