Yamabenomichi Cultural Museum
山辺道文化館
Originally used as a hospital, Yamabenomichi Cultural Museum lies in Kusano’s traditional cityscape, which spreads out to the northern base of Mount Mino in eastern Kurume City. The museum is housed in a large-scale, two-story wooden building (which is rare in Kyushu) that is highly regarded to have a superior design, stateliness, and an intricate interior design to boot! The museum contains materials related to the town of Kusano as well as a cafe. This is a great starting point for a stroll around the area.
*About the Museum: Government-Registered Cultural Asset
*Accessibility: Wheelchair-accessible bathrooms; wheelchair ramp; guide dogs permitted
