Koga Kamado Shrine
古賀竈門神社
This is one of the three shrines that speak of the connections between Dazaifu and Kamado Shrine.
The long approach to the main shrine stretches through a residential area. Here, the deity Tamayorime-no-Mikoto, known as a goddess of marriage and the local deity of the Koga district, is enshrined. Her divine spirit was brought here from Mount Homan. It is unclear what year the shrine was constructed, but as it is mentioned in the Kurume-Han Shakata Kaiki records from the year 1697, it is estimated that a shrine was built here over 300 years ago.
